On April 27, Ambassador Zeng Fanhua was invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the new teacher dormitory project of Butuka Academy. Papua New Guinea Capital District Chief Executive Parke, Foreign Minister Tekachenko, representatives of teachers and students of Butuka Academy and the person in charge of the construction company attended the ceremony.

Ambassador Zeng said that Butuka Academy is a model of cultural exchanges and practical cooperation between China and Papua New Guinea. The construction of the new teacher dormitory will lay a more solid foundation for the development of the academy. It is believed that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries and the joint efforts of both sides, the China-Papua New Guinea cooperation will achieve more fruitful results, and the development of Butuka Academy will usher in a brighter future.

Parkop and Tekachenko thanked the Chinese government and Shenzhen for their strong support, and expressed that Papua New Guinea is willing to deepen friendly cooperation with China in various fields, write more Butuka-style cooperation stories, and benefit the two countries and their peoples.

The new teacher dormitory project of Butuka Academy was built by Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Jianfa Group on behalf of Shenzhen City and undertaken by China Construction Science and Engineering, which will help alleviate the shortage of dormitory in the academy.
