Notice from the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Papua New Guinea on the Comprehensive Resumption of Photography and Fingerprint Collection at the Embassy

In order to further practice the concept of diplomacy for the people, standardize the issuance of e-passports, and facilitate the use of Chinese citizens' self-service channels for returning to China, the Chinese Embassy in Papua New Guinea plans to resume its fingerprint collection in an orderly manner in accordance with relevant domestic requirements.

1.ordinary passport

To apply for the issuance, renewal, reissue and filling of ordinary passport, please submit the application in the "Chinese Consular" APP in advance, and submit the materials to the library after passing the preliminary examination. The relevant arrangements are made as follows.

1） From August 5 to August 31, fingerprint photos will be collected and not collected simultaneously. At the same time, applicants will be encouraged to collect fingerprints at the museum.

2） From September 1, fingerprint collection at the museum. All applicants who have reached the age of 16 (including 16 years old) must go to the museum to collect fingerprints without special circumstances. Applicants under the age of 16 do not need to collect fingerprints, can use video face review + mail or agent, do not have to come to the museum.

2.travel certificate

To apply for the issuance, renewal, reissue and replacement of passport loss, please submit the application in the "Chinese Consul" APP in advance, and submit the materials according to the system prompts after passing the preliminary examination. There is no need to go to the museum to collect fingerprints.

3.Other entry and exit documents

To apply for official passport, official passport, travel permit for compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and certificate of return to China, please contact the embassy directly through the email address or telephone, and submit the application materials to the embassy as required. Among them, the official passport and the official ordinary passport need to collect fingerprints, and should be handled by the museum in the designated link.

4."green channel"

The embassy has a "green channel", which only provides emergency certificate services to applicants with special circumstances. If the applicant has any difficulties, we will give special treatment after verifying the relevant materials provided by the applicant.

5.matters need attention

After the fingerprint collection at the museum, the orders submitted before September 1st are still in the "review" stage (without evidence collection form) following the system prompts (passport application personnel over 16) or video review (without the fingerprint collection personnel); if it has entered the "to be prepared" stage, the applicant may submit the materials in the previously selected method, not required to collect fingerprints at the museum.

A completed new passport cannot have a separate fingerprint information. The passport without fingerprint information can be used normally, but it cannot clear the customs independently, so you need to go through the manual channel.
